Boyce Thompson Arboretum

Mum and I spent one afternoon at the Boyce Thompson Arboretum, walking around and taking photos of all the plants.  Then, I was so tired I fell asleep on the 20-minute car ride back to the house!

This is one of my favorite places to take visitors. I went 3 times this winter and loved it every time. It's a beautiful hike and it was great to see the plants start to bloom.

The desert is such an interesting mix of dirt and colorful plants. It reminds me a lot of the desert room in Longwood Gardens, but of course much cooler because it's everywhere and not artificially maintained! Did you feel an urgent need for lotion while over there, more so than normal winter dryness we experience in the East coast?

DPLK - I always use lots of hand lotion, because I do an obscene amount of hand washing during the day. But I did find that I had to use a lot ore face-lotion than normal.
