I did make a post-portfolio pie, but it was not peach (though I appreciate the alliteration). It was lemon. I have a huge box of corn starch because it was only sold in size "set you up for life" and I would like to attempt to use at least some of it. Fortunately it had the lemon pie recipe on the back, and it turned out to be really excellent.
There you go again, Jess, tempting me with that lemon pie! One of my favorites. My mother used to make lemon pie but I have never tried it. I may have to give it a try.
ReplyDeletePie! Yours looks extra yummy.
ReplyDeleteIf you're looking for more ideas, here's a blog I follow, the lady's been chain pie-making for a while now. She has some recipes posted. http://pghtasted.blogspot.com/
And there's some chef/writer who decided to embark on this a-pie-a-day project in which she will try to make or post about a pie each day for the whole summer--90 days in all I guess. Not many recipes posted that I saw, but good for spotting a new idea, and then you can look up recipes online...

I like your custard to meringue ratio.
ReplyDeleteHow's that for a compliment.
